Position Tracking
Keyword rankings and trends
The rankings report explains which tracked queries moved, how strong the evidence is, and which page and SERP context belong to the movement.
Defined scope
Keep domain, keywords, market, device, depth, and cadence explicit.
Repeated evidence
Read current rank together with history, coverage, and landing-page context.
Verified decisions
Investigate the cause and confirm outcomes with another comparable measurement.
Read the ranking table
- Current position is the latest completed measurement in the selected context.
- Change compares comparable measurements; missing history is not zero movement.
- Search volume and estimated traffic add scale but remain provider estimates.
- The ranking URL identifies the page that currently owns the result.
- SERP features explain visibility beyond the blue-link rank.
Use history before reacting
A single change can be volatility, personalization noise, a new SERP layout, or a partial run. Look for persistence across several measurements and inspect whether the ranking URL changed at the same time.
Separate visibility from traffic
Visibility uses rank and demand to estimate relative click opportunity across the set. Estimated traffic is not Analytics traffic and should not be used as revenue. Use both to prioritize investigation, then verify business outcomes with first-party data.
