Set up and read a domain comparison
A comparison is credible only when the domains, market, time, and analysis depth answer the same question.
Comparison setup
1
Confirm the tracked domain represents your site in the intended market.
2
Choose competitors relevant to the same audience and search demand.
3
Use Summary for orientation and Deep when intent, difficulty, keyword-gap, and page evidence are needed.
4
Review the estimate and create one comparison.
5
Reopen saved comparisons when the evidence is still fresh enough.
Head-to-head
Authority, traffic, organic keywords, traffic value, backlinks, and referring domains are provider estimates. Compare direction and scale under the same context; do not treat small differences as audited truth.
A domain can lead in links but lag in traffic, or rank for more keywords with weaker commercial value. Read the metrics as a system.
