Keyword Research
Set up a Keyword Research run
Good research setup controls both relevance and spend. The source, market, depth, and limits determine what the result can honestly answer.
Research modes
| Mode | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Quick | You need a small exploratory expansion. |
| Standard | You need a practical working candidate set. |
| Deep | The topic is validated and warrants broader source coverage. |
| Competitors | Ranking domains, rather than seed phrases, define the market. |
Seeds and competitor domains
Use specific search phrases for seed-led research. Broad one-word seeds create noise and expensive ambiguity.
Use competitor domains only when they are genuinely relevant to the same market and search intent. The optional row limit controls how many leading keywords are requested per domain; Gap only keeps rankings missing from the tracked domain.
Market and language
Country and language are part of the metric definition. Search volume, CPC, difficulty, suggestions, and rankings are not safely comparable across different market settings.
Estimate and start
1
Finish the seeds or domains.
2
Confirm country, language, depth, domain limits, and Gap only.
3
Wait for the estimate to match the current inputs.
4
Check available balance and displayed price.
5
Start once; do not submit duplicate runs while the first is pending.
